A new school year begins

My 6 year old starts 1st grade tomorrow. My mini-me enters 3rd grade. . . .both will be attending Public School. I will have my 8th grader and my 5th grader at home this year. Thankfully, I will be able to teach Spanish at a home school two day a week school where they will attend. This will enable them to do more of the hands on classes as well as LOTS of community service oriented projects.

Life has really gotten busy around here. Somedays I feel so lost in the midst of decisions to make that I just want to scream :o) Yet, I must say it is ALL worth it. My 4 year old, 2 year old and 6 month old are doing great!! To see the younger ones learn so much just by imitating the older ones is fascinating.

This week will be a transition week as we say goodbye to our summer sleeping in schedule and HELLO to waking up at 6am-----hence I really need to go to bed soon (it is 1am). . . .i guess I too am nervous about a new school year. Having all the girls home schooled someday would be so nice, I must admit I LOVE having the girls here with me. I count it a blessing to be home.

How much it means to me to see them learn new things, to see them care for one another, to participate hands on with them as they learn the 'love' of learning and seeking knowledge. God has a phenomenal plan for these girls and I am honored to be their mother, their teacher, their friend. Both Jerome and I many times will stop and just catch our breath, step back and realize how blessed we are! SEVEN daughters. . . . .many many many thanks to the One who gave them to us!!!
